Track image impressions in a folder by yais

Hi, I need a script which can go in a couple of folders containing images (possibly thousands of images constantly updated) which track certain statistics like the number of direct image hits, which… (Budget: $30-250, Jobs: Linux, Perl/CGI, PHP, System Admin.)
